Recommended Posts

Bariatric Advantage Crystal Mix Drink - From their website: Our delicious multi-formula drink mix means far fewer pills. Only 3 daily servings gives you a complete high-potency Multivitamin with 1500mg of elemental Calcium (citrate) 900 IU Vitamin D3, 900mcg B12, 300mg potassium, 9mg of thiamine - and MUCH more! Refreshing Wild berry flavor is something you will truly enjoy taking every day.

Has anyone taken them? Do they provide better than taking 2 chewable multivitamin and 4 calcium?

**If you don't know what they are, they are a crystal drink mix that you use instead of taking the chewables.< /strong>

I use the crystals and i like them far better than chewables. According to my nut. she states that the Water that I mix it in counts towards my Water allotment. here are the good and the bad points:

1) when mixed with room temp water it can be grainy. i have found that if you chill it for 1 hour most of the graininess goes away. or mix with cold water.

2) it does settle in the bottom and you have to constantly shake it up before you drink it.

3) It does have 1500mg in a daily serving

4) it does not have Iron in it. Iron must be taken seperately. remember to take iron at least 2 hours before or after you take your last dose as the Calcium and iron will cancel each other out.

Hope this helps

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
