You are too tight. Go get a little Fluid removed.

Could be that you are eating too late. If I eat after 8pm,l I get the same thing. But, if I have nothing to eat, then I am fine. Try to stop eating eary in the evening, if that is the problem. Karen

Speaking from experience, you are too tight. Have you been vomiting which can irritate your stomach and cause swelling which then makes you too tight and then reflux/cough. Back your diet down to liquids and mushies until you can get a deflate. Also, take something for the acid, prilosec, zantac... My band is slipped and may need to be surgiacally repositioned. All my trouble started with the night reflux/cough.

Good luck!

Joan

My doctor says night coughing is due to your band being too tight. Sounds like you need a little flui taken out.

This happens to me if I eat too late or prior to going to bed or while in bed watching TV... a bad habit I've had all my life. The mucous is actually secretions to prevent damage to your esophagus. Sometimes I sleep on two pillows till the feeling passes. Try avoiding eating anything prior to going to bed.

I just went threw this about a month ago, and the mucus is thick !

I went in, and they unfilled some, not much.

It's liveable, and much more comfortable.

Go see your Dr...

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
