I am looking to start a support group in the Jackson area. Please email me ASAP. Abkin/Bertha support groups are wonderful however for those who live down here, it is hard to travel so far up north. kittycat 0 Posted February 10, 2006 Hi Maureen, It's great to hear from you. Wow, you're so close! I only have one other response (from Matawan), but hey, it's a start. I figure we'd meet once a month either my house(Jackson) or a library that's centrally located for all. I feel it would be great to get together and meet, share stories and help one another. Centrastate hospital has a support group only for gastric bypass and they have the nerve of charging $299 for the year. I wouldn't even pay that amount if they did have one for lap band. Anyway, can't wait to meet you! Even if it turns out to be just us, it would be nice to chat about what works and what doesn't. Hope to hear from you soon. erica2112 0 Posted March 9, 2006 I am new to this board and I live in Manalapan. I am having my band done by Dr Washington out of Centra State.
