Losing_It150 6 Posted September 21, 2011 Tomorrow will be 2 weeks post op and I always feel like I have something in my throat....like a piece of food or something. screeden 21 Posted September 21, 2011 everyone is intubated for the surgery, but even with the tube being in an hour or so, it can still cause some endotracheal swelling. as long as you are eating and drinking fine, it should not be an issue. i know mine was sore and scratchy for a few days. if you still have concerns, call the doctor.
