n.estrada 0 Posted September 20, 2011 I was banded on the morning of Friday, September 19. I have not had any hunger at all. Today is my first full day without any pain meds and although I am a little sore, I am moving around on my own. I have had to force myself to drink liquids, but I am pretty sure that I am staying hydrated (no dry mouth, using the restroom regularly, etc...). But, I have an overwhelming feeling of being lightheaded. Today, I have had about 6 oz of cream of mushroom Soup and 12 oz of Protein Shake in total. I am going to try to get at least another 12 oz of Protein shake down. Anyone else have this issue during the days following the procedure? Could it be the pain meds working their way out? Not enough liquid? Not enough protein? It's a very odd feeling...almost like my head is floating away from my body.
screeden 21 Posted September 20, 2011 probaly a combination of everything. it takes a little bit to get the anestetic out of your system. your body is adjusting, keep on drinking fluids, try popcicles, and keep drinking Protein Shakes. it does get better. Alli in StL 23 Posted September 20, 2011 I experienced this also. I thought was getting enough fluids, but I wasn't. Once I got Fluid taken out of my band (I was too tight), I was able to get more fluids and felt better. Also, moving to full fluids helped tremendously. Do you normally take blood pressure medicine? If so, you'll want to monitor it. If your pressure is too low, that can cause you to feel lightheaded also.
