NEED MY JENNY CRAIG RECORDS...THEY SAY THEY WERE SHREDDED!!!!!

Recommended Posts

I am currently trying to get the Requirements in order for Insurance Approval. I am in Houston & have insurance through the Pipe Fitters Local 211 Union which is BCBS-Illinois and is handled through Zenith Administrators. (I think that's how it goes!)

Here's my dilemma...

I have, among other requirements which I have already fulfilled, a 6 mo weight loss program to complete. I have ALREADY completed 6 months of Jenny Craig within the last 12 months and gained it all back. Here's the kicker...True Results, the Office that I'm going through to have the LapBand done, has contacted them several times. I HAVE contacted them several times. They have ignored the Doctor's Office entirely. They promised me they would return my calls, which they have not done. Finally I decided to go straight to my personal counselor that assisted me while on the program. She is now saying that they went to "digital files" and all of us older clients are basically SOL because the old ones were shredded. Then, somehow she said all I would have on you is "11 or 15 visits, that's all". So which one is it? I SO DO NOT buy it for one minute! I was there less than a year ago AND I have a client that goes every once in a while just to purchase food and occasionally get weighed and she said she ALWAYS has it written in a file, not a digital one, an actual paper FILE. She said they do use a computer as well, but it is all handwritten first.

So, I am obviously and understandably frustrated and wish these people would either just be honest and say, "we don't like the competition and don't want you to have your files" or just friggin' give them to me already!

Has anyone had anything like this happen to them? Any suggestions??

I would think that they would be required to keep your records for a certain amount of time. (More than a year). Did you see your doctor while on Jenny Craig? Did he know you were doing it? If so, it should be in his records. If you have receipts from them they could serve as proof to your insurance company.

What about your record of paying them? That might help. Next would be the threat of suing. It wouldnt be worth it to actually pay a lawyer but sometimes just the mention of either a lawyer or the threat of filing a complaint with the better business bureau will shake them up a bit. Good luck...I think they are bullshitting you because theres nothing in it for them.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
