LB4Me 35 Posted October 12, 2011 Surgery is tomorrow in the DFW area. I have a lot of emotions, happy, scared, nervous. Just to name a few. Good luck to all and if I don't update in the morning I'll do it when I get home from the surgery. Good luck!

Kali216 0 Posted October 12, 2011 In the surgery center waiting to see the doctor and anestisologist (sp). Not really that nervous. Ready to start my new life!
Lorianne-in-VA 3 Posted October 12, 2011 I wish everyone going into surgery today, and the days to come, a safe and successful day! I've been home 9 hours and still am exhausted but I'm walking and managing the pain with liquid Tylenol (loritab made me feel wonky!) and the bit of residual nausea with emetrol. I've had about 4oz of Isopure Protein Shakes and 4oz of Water since I arrived home last night. I'm not hungry yet just slightly thirsty so far. Happy Banding everyone! m1aman 944 Posted October 12, 2011 Best of luck to all of you being newly banded. I am 8 days post op and I have made it so you can to! The thing you always hear about walking a lot is no joke. It really does help. If they give you pain meds go ahead ahead and take them. No point in being in pain if you don't have to. I gained a lot of Fluid weight after surgery but it came off in about 3 days. Also my blood sugar went up into the 270's but it also came down in about 2 days. Just some tips from my experience..............
♥EyeOnPrize♥ 2 Posted October 12, 2011 My surgery is tomorrow! I will call this afternoon to get my exact surgery time, but I am way excited. I thought I would be more nervous, but I am just so ready for positive change that, so far, I am more excited than nervous. For the last month, I have really taken a different approach to eating foods and am happy with my emotional progress, as well as physical progress. I am making a large pot of homeade chicken noodle Soup, so that I can drain the broth and have homeade broth instead of canned for the first little while, as I heard it tastes so much better. Then, the fam can eat the soup! Countdown! (Pre-op~lost 8 lbs.)
formykids2 4 Posted October 12, 2011 I am going in tomorrow too! Have to be there at 730 am. I was wondering if anyone did before pics and measurements? I wish I had when I started the preop diet as I have lost 20 lbs on it so far, but I did my measurements a little over a week ago and again today and already see inches lost!
