msdavis 0 Posted September 14, 2011 I am four weeks out. Feeling great, lost 20 pounds since pre- op diet. I have noticed the last three days that I am hungry all the time. My first fill appointment is tommorow. (Did not have a fill at surgery). I'm getting a little nervous about what to expect. I'm not afraid of the needle. I just need to mentally prepare myself for what restriction feels like. Can you feel the band tightening? Is it uncomfortable, and if so how long does it take to readjust to the restriction? jsea 3 Posted September 14, 2011 I do not get my first fill for two weeks (October 4th) but I also have the same questions as you and am looking forward to hear people's response. I too am hungry between meals. Usually I'm OK for two hours then my hunger kicks in. Sooooo looking forward to my first fill. All my best!! I am four weeks out. vlp1968 83 Posted September 14, 2011 Fills are a very easy procedure. The surgeon- or nurse pa will give you a local, then insert a long needle (but you won't feel much of anything) she will draw out what's in there and then add the appropriate amount. I never felt my band tighten. Took me 3 fills to get restriction. Some lucky ones get it on the first shot. You'll do great!
