Dr. Duc Vuong - Free lap band scam LAWSUIT! Dr Duc Vuong!

Recommended Posts

I previously told you all the story of how DR DUC VUONG and his free lap band was a scam ...Now here is a lawsuit regarding this...please see attached link... http://peasinutah.angelfire.com/drducvuong

Here is the story:

Dr. Vuong offered a free Lap Band in 2009 and never held up his part of the bargain! The whole constest wa a scam!!!! The winner tried to get her free lap-band and DR. VUONG backed out of the deal. Mr. Vuong, you shouldn't put together a contest giving people false hope and then they waste their money to fly down to Texas and stay in a hotel. You announced them as the winner and then when they try and contact you, you never return calls until months later, when you tell them you are not able to due it because of your financial situation? You are a doctor! That is a load of crap! I hope that other people considering weight loss surgery see this post and realize you are a liar and go to a different doctor!

wow, that is terrible. that person should sue him for there money lost in hotels and flights. that is messed up. should also check out the texas licensing board. i am sure he has had violations on his record. oh and he should be reported to the board as that is unethical in his practice.

That is really low. To take advantage of people like that.

He's nailed someone else. This person has a disaster of a GI tract and he operated. She's having to go out of town because everyone else wont touch her - meaning they're afraid to because they know.

Guys we need to really OUT doctors like this and the PATIENTS who support these docs. NO ONE deserves this.

This Doctor seems to evoke polar opposite reactions. Either you love him and he could nearly walk on Water, as far as you're concerned. Or you loathe him , think he's a quack and Hades is too kind a place for him. I watch him b too infrequently,to make much of an opinion. I do know,i vastly prefer Dr Matthew Weiner to him. Do the c rest of you have an opinion?😗

HIPPA restricts Dr. Vuong from explaining why he cannot give this patient a lap band. I am just guessing this is why we have not heard from the Doc. There are so many tests you must take to prove fitness for this surgery.

Hey everyone in Internet Land. I’m just someone looking for information for someone else and stumbled over this article.

If the public article remains posted, then the author is responsible for the forum until the owner of the website or moderator closes the thread.

If people want to know about the current events of Dr. Duc Voung, he’s not hiding. His books are on Amazon. His YouTube channel is vibrant. He has a Facebook Group. (Do not click on those links. The website inserts them. I don’t know where they lead.)

I cannot defend him because I don’t have the facts. There are two sides to every story. Someone called me last night with their side of the story about an event in their life. Then the other person arrived in person and told their side of the story. One person made a clear lie. The other person made a damaging response that hurt the liar’s feelings. Who do we pity in this story. I decided that I needed more information. This story about Dr. Duc Voung is similar because I only have one side of the story. What happened to the patient? Dr. Voung cannot say due to HIPPA restrictions. The patient’s side reads like a made for TV movie. I’ve seen those bariatric surgery reality shows on TV. The patients are traumatized. It’s awful. I’d like an update.

Why do people seeking information about bariatric surgery need to leave the thread when they have questions about a bariatric surgeon?
Instead, questions should be welcomed, right? Jac

I can tell you I had a horrible experience with him that caused me to have life saving surgery in another state. I wouldn’t recommend him for even a dog and I’m not a liar.

Hi ConnieinNM. Thank you for sharing your personal experience with us. I am so sorry that happened to you. Did you report your experience to the TX medical board? You see, I stumbled over this site trying to help someone else. May you heal better than ever before. Jac

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
