Per my post op.instructions I cannot have anything too hot or cold bc it can cause spasms or gas. I feel like I'm having a hard time getting my nutrition in on Clear liquids and shakes. Protein Shakes are disgusting at room temp.....

Also, I have one week Clear Liquids (surg Sept 8th) week 2 full liquids....my follow up with the surgeon is Friday so do I start full on my own Thursday or wait to talk to.him Friday?

This transitional period sucks....

I didn't get over 500 calories until I started solid foods... And most of the time it was around 300. My dr told me not to stress about it that eventually I would be getting plenty in.

Thanks Baileyrose! I was pretty worried about my body going into starvation mode.

I was banded on 9/8 as well, and was worried about the same thing. I am a full-time college student, and the lack of energy that comes from not eating just isn't an option for me.

My doctor said to up my Protein shakes to 3X a day, and even do the non-low fat ones if I needed to. That way I'd at least be getting about 1000 calories in.

Yep... My surgeon actually switched me to regular Popsicles and Jello and not the sugar free ones because I was really weak. You could always consider that if you start feeling week. Or drink a little bit of juice or milk... That helps.
