Cathartic clothing clean out

Recommended Posts

This weekend I cleaned out my cupboards and wardrobe. Three bags of fat clothes are now on their way to the op shop. I found heaps of clothes that I have been saving for when I lost weight and now I can wear most of them. I've still got some clothes to shrink into but I can see myself wearing them really soon.

it feels as though I have said goodbye to fat me and hello to getting slim me and I love it!

Next achievement is to get under 100kg and start wearing that new gold watch I've bought to mark reaching that goal. Just 10kg to go.

That must have been a great feeling! I can't wait until I can throw out my wardrobe! I've been sneakily buying sale items that are at my "goal" size, and hiding them from myself in the top of my wardrobe... I can't wait until I can pull them down and wear them!

OMG I have a secret stash of clothes in the top of my wardrobe too! I bought them at different times in varying sizes and am slowly working my way into them. It's so satisfying, isn't it.

Plus I sold a few of my new unworn, larger sizes on ebay to pick up a few extra $$$

Ooooooooo I have pants from HS that are size 16 that I can slim into. Ive been big for so long that I thought I only had size 18,20,22 in my closet. ( And super stretchy "don't really have a size because it can fit 4 people if they hug enough pants & skirts.) I can't wait!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
