Busy 0 Posted February 4, 2006 Received notification from my insurance company today that they are going to require 6 additional months of doctor supervised diet. I am considering paying for it myself, (finance). My question is if I do that, does anyone know if the insurance company will pick up any of the hospital bill and what about fills?? unopadre 0 Posted February 9, 2006 wow. really depends on your policy. call, get the name of the person you talk to, and a confirmation #. what insurance company is it? why do they want you to diet for 6 more months? what happened in the first 6?
ReneBean 3 Posted February 9, 2006 Well, you should probably get started on the 6 month supervised thing - but you can fight them while you do. If you have co-morbidities that will damage you while you wait, that could be the basis for an arguement... for instance, every day with uncontrolled diabetes, you damage your circulation system more. Hopefully this type of arguement will get them to relent. Good Luck!
