melissa45154 2 Posted September 8, 2011 I just wanted to say hi. I am new to this website, but I'm also just starting my lap band journey. I'm very excited to finally start taking control of my life. However, I'm also very nervous of "screwing up". I've failed so many diets and I am determined to get through the approval process and then lose weight on the ban. I'll admit it that I am nervous about everything that this process involves. Hopefully, once I'm into it further I will be more relaxed and able to enjoy the star of my new life. We've all failed at diets. The good news is this is NOT a diet! It will help you change your habits as long as you follow the rules. The approval process is just a bunch of red tape you have to cut through. There's really no need to be nervous. I cut though all of mine in less than a month. MyBandAID 0 Posted September 12, 2011 I can understand you feeling nervous, but I believe we all have some uneasiness going into something new and so encompassing. Keep positive thoughts and supportive people around you during this time. I am meeting with my Doctor to discuss the possibility of getting the surgery myself. You will be great; making this decision and following through just shows me that you are determined to take control of your health. Be strong, keep calm and carry on Good thoughts to you!
