Well- I am very happy I listened to the directions & played the dvd to begin with- its so very simple to set up but important to note that the cabel system needs to be removed for certain exercises. Removing it is a snap.

As far as the ease of use I give it 5 stars on a 5 star scale. As to it totally WHIPPING MY BUTT on the STARTER PROGRAM (Mind you that is not the beginner program BUT just the starter program) It gets another 5 stars!!!!!! I am exhausted!!! & I barley did anything- I could have done 3 miles on the tread mill which I ususally do now in the same amount of time it took me to do the basic 6 min program- lol lol lol

But with that being said it took me over a week to get up to 3 miles - so there is a learning curve involved for sure.

It says to start at resistance level 2- well there is no way I can do all the reps at that level. I tried & was simply laughing at myself the whole way through. Tomorrow I will start at level one & try & do all the reps. ITs very hard- b/c it all your own weight your supporting --& I HAVE ALOT TO SUPPORT!LOL LOL LOL So I can see where alot of people will totally give up in the begining. But that isn't an option for me & I truely can see HOW TOTALLY cool this instrument will be once I get myself in better shape.

Wow, this never occurred to me, but we have a practially new Total Gym. It is the extra large one (my hubby at the time was 330 pounds and is 6'5" tall). We bought all of the extra bars, straps, gadgets we could and spent $1600 on the thing. Shortly after we purchased our first home and guess what. No room for the TG! It has been in the closet since then. We have thought about selling it. Most likely for about $800.

Now Im not sure of the cost for shipping something like this. Its pretty heavy. But if anyone is interested in it, PM me and maybe we can work something out. Cheers!

Please send me photos of it & let me know if there is any wear & tear. b/c I was planning on returning my new one before my 2 mnths are out & getting one on ebay. I would be interested in getting yours! The ones I have seen on Ebay sell for an average of $700. + s/h. This one I have now from the TV offer has all bells & whistles BUT was a returned item so I got a discount. Whole p[ackage ran me $1450.00 including pilates extras & dvds.

Well had my second workout & did all the exercises but at a lower level. It was tough but I got through it & than instead of an hour treadmill just did a 1/2. I am feeling pretty good but know it will take about 2 to 3 FULL weeks to really get into the swing of things.

PhotoNut - depending on what you want for yours I for sure am going to return the one I have b/c I see they have a second hand store where they sell them for 1/2 the price I bought it for(on ebay) Actually the same company even. The only catch is no return. Thank goodness I'll know for sure that I love it by than. Actually I love it already:0):)

When I get the pics done, I'll post an addy for everyone to look at.

Thanks for the interest!

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
