You know... good question. In general "full" has changed for me. I used to eat until I was stuffed, like that really full thanksgiving feeling. I don't eat that much anymore, though I could. Now I try to eat and then ask myself as I'm eating if I'm still hungry or not, and if not, I make myself stop. Or try really hard to make myself stop. I usually give a big sigh, and when that happens I realize it probably means I should stop eating.

When I have had enough to eat I don't feel full like pre-band, I feel satisfied, just done eating. Like I don't want and shouldn't eat anymore.

When I am full.... I feel like I can't take another bite. My mother had a BBQ and she makes the best food and I could only have a little bit of stuff but I was happy and full!!!!

As soon as I feel a tiny bit of pressure around diaphragm area then I know it is time to stop. As soon as you feel the slightest of pressure get up from the table! Good Luck!

Mine is odd and kind of funny! When I am done eating my nose will start to run. Just enough to be noticeable - it doesn't continue to run. Just a little bit and then stops. I know I need to stop eating then because within a few minutes I will be feeling perfectly satisfied with a nice full feeling - not stuffed. I stay that way for about 3 hours and within 4 hours I am usually hungry again.

I ate a few more bites past the runny nose once - bad idea. I had a bad stomach ache for about 2 hours afterwards - never again. It was unpleasant.

I was so confused about this too. I am only 6 days banded, still gassy, achy, sore, etc.

I experienced fullness from food (creamy chicken soup) today, and it felt wonderful!

It is still hard to describe. I used to eat at Subway at work a lot, and would order sandwich, chips, large diet coke, and sometimes Soup.< /span>

Today, it felt like I had eaten the sandwich and chips, and drank the soda, and as I was eating the soup, I felt like, OK, this is good, I am good, I have had enough, I think I am full (even tho it was JUST the soup that I was eating)......if that makes sense.

It was a really NICE, satisfying feeling, and so motivating.

Good luck to you!

before my last fill, I would eat until I felt full (normal full pre band). Granted I didn't lose 5 lbs a week, but I was never hungry. Now, that i've got more in my band and I can eat about 4-5 ounces, I eat until I don't feel hungry. If I eat until I feel normal full, then I've eaten to much and hope that I don't puke!

I stop eating when I no longer feel hungry. If I keep going until I feel full, I get pain in my port area.

If I'm chewing well and taking my time between bites, I usually will get bored with eating and that's my sign that satisfied. It's usually around a cup of food. Sometimes 1 1/2 cups. If I'm super hungry when I start eating and I'm probably eating too fast and not really paying attention I will get this feeling like I need to burp and that's when I know i need to either stop and take a break. I'm still learning how to eat with the band... It's definitely an adjustment. When I was first banded and eating mushies, I felt thanksgiving day stuffed with a 1/2 cup of Soup. That's definitely not the case these days.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
