FLORIDAYS 3,040 Posted September 7, 2011 Ok you guys are freaking me out! I am scheduled for banding in Oct. What is this about not being able to drink? I don't want to limit what I drink! Help! Dont fret.....I can take about 1/2 a bottle of Water at a time and I am 10 months out. However make sure you do limit WHAT TYPE of drink. Many wasted calories are spent on soda and smoothies.... I now only drink water, tea, 1c per day of skim milk, crystal light and the occasional glass of wine.
Pinkygirl 34 Posted September 7, 2011 i dont know, maybe it depends on how tight our bands are but if i chug a half a bottle of Water Im veryyyy uncomfortable and want to spit it all out!
kll724 3,055 Posted September 7, 2011 I'm with you FayFaye, I can't chug anything! I sip all my drinks. I don't know if it is habit, after 20 months, or if it my band. But, I just tried to drink, and I took sips. I have tried larger sips. but still can't chug! Karen
Mimilou2004 13 Posted September 7, 2011 I had posted earlier about understanding and empathizing...today I realized I could chug all of a sudden and realized I was eating more so fill adjustment appt is made!!! Mimi
feliciadawn 22 Posted September 7, 2011 I REALLY hope I can still drink Water the way I do now. I get really thirsty, especially in the summer living in Vegas when it's 115 degrees outside and i'd rather die than take one step out of air conditioning. Hoping to feel better (and cooler) when I am lighter, less insulation, right?
SageTracey 608 Posted September 7, 2011 I'm amazed at how much I love drinking Water now, although I have to take it a bit slowly so it doesn't hurt. What I don't miss is all the fizzy pop that I used to drink. It doesn't bother me to have it in the house or to see others drinking it. I just don't miss it. And I am easily doing 8 to 10 glasses of water a day.
