both my wife and i are banded, my wife has had hers since 5/03 and ive had mine since 5/04 .

we've been married since may 1988.

yes we do alot in the month of may.

never had kids,

till now :target:

we have a verry pretty 5 and a 1/2 month old little girl.

the only thing that has changed in all the time we've been married was the sudden weight loss.

Golly, she's beautiful, remember to enjoy every single moment, it just goes too darn fast.

However already having 3 little treasures myself is what got me into this mess and considering I have taken considerable pains to ensure I dont have any more I would be more than a bit pissed off to find myself up the duff again, lol.

I think that it is great that you are a bandster couple.

Congratulations on your "new" addition and thanks for sharing the website and photos. Samantha's expression with the bear is priceless.

being a bandster couple has some real advantages,

go out to dinner we share one meal, or an appetiser.

when one says "im plugged" the other can truely say "i feel your pain",

we understand the need to "drool" once in awhile,

and we know what not to buy at the store,, like french bread or to much Pasta.

but the most important one, in bed at night, we understand the noises from nowhere and down under.

Your baby girl is beautiful and so is your wife!

(You aren't too bad looking yourself)

Being from Texas I have a weakness for cowboys.

You both look great!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
