I don't really know why I thought I could handle the large multi-vitamins. But I guess I had a momentary lapse... Anyway, for two mornings now, I have tried to take a rather large multi horsepill. And have experienced nausaeu, dry heaves, and lots of sliming. I cannot take them anymore. I was sick to death of the flavor of the chewable vits, and threw them out when I got these. I had one of my daughters Gummy bears the other day, and it got stuck, so I don't think the gummy vit's are the trick either. I was thinking a liquid Vitamin because this is ridiculous!

My question is, what kind of Vitamins do you take?

Thanks!

Did you have food in your stomach? I get really nauseas when I took them on an empty stomach. I take gummy vitamins now though, for some reason with the pill form I kept forgetting to take them.

I hadn't eaten anything when I took them, because I usually wait to eat at work, because 7:00 is just too early for me to eat. I can't do the gummies because they get stuck. I'm looking into some liquids.

Good morning,

I take gummies for my Vitamins and Calcium. They wont get stuck as long as you chew them really well. Honestly, I look forward to them everyday like a treat so I think its gonna be gummies from here on out.

I take Centrum chewables for adults, only need 1 a day, and they have an orange flavor. Sure there is still a vitaminy taste, but tolerable. I also have to take a Calcium supplement- viactive chewable. I can't even tolerate the smell of liquid Vitamin. I imagine if I tried to take liquid, I would vomit. Those large horse pill vits are probably too big for your pouch.

I couldn't stand the liquid vit so I did the chewable ones for a while. I just switched to the nature made gel tab vit. They.r large but they go down... I can't stand reg pill vit the smell makes me gag & dry heave. I did gummies before being banded but Im scared they'll get stuck now...

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
