Cindy C 150 Posted August 26, 2011 Thanks so much Cindy and yes I do feel great although it has been a bumpy journey it has all been worth it, I couldn't agree more. Your post made me wonder just how far Australia is from me so I plugged your town and mine into Google Maps. It was over 15,000 miles but the funny thing was it gave me driving directions to the west coast and then said kayak across the Pacific Ocean! TOO FUNNY!!!! 1 Cynsayshun reacted to this

MrDeuces 1 Posted August 27, 2011 Hello Everyone..... Just signed up today and wanted to introduce myself.... I'm Steven from Riverside and just had surgery this week..... this is taken from the "About Me" section.. I've always been a very physically active but overweight person. I started putting on the weight in 7th grade with an 11th grade peak of around 285. I work out regularly but I've never really been able to drop much below 250. Due to hypertension and 38BMI, insurance approved me and I had surgery on 8/22/11. The day before surgery, I weighed in at 258.8. So far post op has been pretty manageable. Started walking quickly and hit my breathing targets before leaving the recovery room. I am generally a quick healer from past surgeries, so maybe that is helping a bit. Biggest issue post op is the painful gas and bloating, but 1 gas-x ultra (twice daily) and walking about 1-2 miles through the day has helped dramatically. I was able to walk 1.5 miles straight by Day 4....... Surgery was Monday, Aug 22, and as of posting this, I am down about 11lbs. I've yet to really feel fatigued and believe I am getting sufficient liquids, but I do need to increase my Protein. I believe I have only been hitting about 50-70 grams, but my target is about 125-150, because I do not want to lose the strength that I went into surgery with.
