Where do you get the cute funny faces?

Recommended Posts

I may be a little slow, but I can't figure out how you all get those cute funny faces from? I have searched & searched this entire forum & can't find them. Also, how do you underline or make different fonts & colors?!? Have I completely lost it? Please tell me there are others out there who don't know how to do this either.

Help!!!

Look at the message box at the bottom of the page (where you type quick replys). Hit that little button that says "Go Advanced". You can get smilies there (click more button if you don't see what you want, there are a bunch!). More fonts and colors are also available on the advanced page or if you just want another color you can click the dropdown icon beside the big "A" on the quick reply screen.

Okay, I am on the GO ADVANCED area (which I have been to several times) & there are only 10 smilies that I can choose from at the bottom & they don't put them in the body of your message, only at the top. There are no other drop down icons to choose from or anything!! There's no big A on the quick reply screen. I want the dancing bananas!!! I am very computer illiterate & I PROMISE I am not slow. :) :bananapowerslide: (really!!!!!)

Is it just my computer?!? I am so confused!!!!

When you get to the advanced area:

There should be a link for [More] smilies in the bottom left corner of the smiley box: it will open a new window with ALOT of smilies.

Did you find the font and color things on the Advanced page?

On the quick reply page (and Advanced) the big A is in the toolbar right above where you are typing. It has a line under it that will turn the color you select. Or at least it is on my screen. Let me know if this works.

If the smiles aren't where you want them once they are in the body of your message, just select them by clicking on them, then copy/paste them somewhere else. Best to use keyboard commands for this: Ctrl+<CTRL>C then Ctrl+<CTRL>V. Remember, smilies will go wherever your cuser is when you click on them.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
