Prometheus 0 Posted August 16, 2011 I see my LB Doc for the first time on 8/26/11 so I am not sure whether I will be a candidate for this surgery or not, I am certainly hoping so. I am excited about the prospect but am worried that I won't qualify or that insurance will deny the procedure if I do qualify. Is this a common thought process with those who have had this done? I am not scared of having the procedure... I am more scared that I won't be able to get the procedure. I am 40 and have so many things I'd like yet to do, but this body is restrictive and depressing.... Thoughts?
Snoopyloverny 3 Posted August 16, 2011 I am so there with you. My appt is tomo with my surgeon and I'm afraid I will do something to disqualify me. I'm afraid I will say the wrong thing. Or that my insurance won't approve me and I've called them twice to see what their qualifications are. I'm afraid they will make me so some stupid diet plan for 3 months or so.I know if I had sleep apnea, they would approve automatically.but I don't know if I have it or not. I'm so afraid I will mess it up fir myself tomo morning. Pray! I'm so nervous that I didn't hardly sleep last night. First thing I thought of this morning... Bluegreen 0 Posted August 17, 2011 Be prepared that this will not likely be a fast process. Most insurances have their requirements. I am in month 4 of a 6 month process dictated by my insurance company and it has been time well spent. I have to say it is somewhat frustrating because I cannot be approved until I have completed all requirements. I could potentially get to the end of the 6 months only to be denied. I sure hope that is not the case. I have seen this topic posted a lot lately. It's a big concern. So hang in there. Time goes by fast. Good luck at your appointment!
