Diane I'm so proud of how positive you are staying, you are a rock girl! I'm proud to call you a friend.

I'm trying to get back on the right track with exercise this month. I hadn't realized how sparatic it had gotten until I started logging it again. I made a goal to do 6 hours of cardio this week and I'm half way there already. If I make it this week maybe I'll try for 7 next week. Since thats what the goverment says we should have anyway...an hour a day. I'm also trying to be more concious of my protien and stay away from carbs. Feb is going to be a great month, I can feel it!

I'm still fighting the moody blues :) I'm not as bad as I had been. I haven't had an uncontrolable, spontaneous Boo Hoo for a few weeks now :bananapowerslide:

I keep looking at the tote of summer clothes all 20-22w and 2x and keep thinking, your outta here. Soon. My husband and I (were best friends)

keep talking about my birthday in may and how i will be much lighter.

I cannot commit to your challenge, but next month I'm going to be working on the exercise. I have back pain going into my piggie toes.

I'm kidding myself because it hurts, but i'm not giving in to the pain.

I hope everyone has a good night. I cannot wait until biggest loser is on.

Any suggestions on books that offer suggestions on behavior changes?

I really need to change some personal behaviors.

Jen

I got and (almost) read the Body Clutter book! It's really good! I'll bring it on the 18th Melissa. I read Jennifer's post and thought about it...then you posted! LOL I need to start a thread about it...

anyhow, we can pass it around at our lunches, but if you want to buy your own, you can order it at the Fly Lady website. Or Amazon has it, I'm sure. Anyhow, thumbs up on Body Clutter. Especially if you have childhood issues. I don't, really, but many many do!

Jen, if you can squeeze Body Clutter away from Melissa, you can have it first! She's done 4 hours! of cardio this week...dang girl, so maybe she can thumb through and let you take it home?

I don't care who has it or for how long, as long as it floats back to me and doesn't gather dust on an unknown bookshelf somewhere!

Can't wait to see everyone!

lol, Jen can get it first, give her something to read while recovering. I'll be finished with my cardio by tomorrow, maybe even tonight if I mange to drag my sorry butt back to the gym for the spin class a friend teaches. I don't know if I'm going to have the energy though. Yesterday I did my normal cardio of 70 minutes, and my weights. Then I went back last night to take a class called "shut up and dance". Oh boy was it crowded, its a VERY popular class to only be in the 3rd week. It was alot of fun, and the instructor well he was certainly a character. You could tell he had professional dancing in his past. I have two left feet and will never grow any rythmm I'm afraid, but it was alot of fun.

188.2 It's working. Wonder when it's going to stop? My all-time banded low weight is 186 point something. I think...seems like I hit 184 point something?...it's been so long. Anyhow, At this rate, I'll make my little mini-goal of 184 for the Feb 18th gathering. But then, I know how I like to get stuck on a number, so I'm not deluded that it won't be an effort. Wow. I'm headed down again....

shut up and dance. that's a great title for a class! I'll bet it was fun!

I'll check out this body clutter thing. I was looking for more reading like how to break bad behaviors like wanting to sleep all day when I'm off work. Tips on getting more walking in. I'll find something this weekend.

See right now, I could sleep in, but i know I gotta get my protien and exercise in during my recovery and if I sleep alday I cannot. I know this is a weird dilemma. I probably will read a fun book while i'm off, nothing too deep, just escapism. I know it won't be million little pieces. Have you see the media head lines, if he didn't go on Oprah.

I have also decided I must have a portable DVD player then I won't have to get out of bed at the hospital and my daughter can use the video player while were there and when we go on road trips. We have a DVD TV that fits in the car. We bought it in 2003 when my mom was sick.

We went to NY 6 Times in 3 months so it was a life saver back then.

We were there one time and returned 3 days later when she passed away.

I'll tell you what, I know most of the lines to Lilo and Stitch now.

I don't get out to the rest of the board nearly as much as I used to; Sunsett, can you post puppy here too?

It sounds like everyone is doing great. I'm trying to talk myself up and get out of this rut.

I've been to the gym 4 times this week :target: I think I'm going to try to workout at home this weekend too; try to workout (cardio) every day.

Today is a new day, and I'm going to make a concerted effort to eat better!

I'm going to try to beat down the blues and decide to be HAPPY not matter how I feel inside!

Saw my PCP & officially started my 6 month supervised diet 07/26/24. She just told me to eat less carbs & sugar, use the air fryer and not fry my foods in grease, and to try to walk 30 minutes 3 days a week & if I can't do that (and I cannot), to walk 10 minutes daily. Told me to walk fast enough that my heart rate is raised.  She didn't give me a number as far as calories though. A year or so ago I was doing low carb/sugar free and keeping my calories at 1800 or below. She said I should up my cals to 2000 at that time, so that's what I'm shooting for now.
Hubby walked with me today. He's in pretty bad shape so I was surprised he wanted to. We walked down the gravel road at a pretty good pace (for us LOL). 10 minutes walking and my heart rate was 115bps according to my Fitbit and 125bps according to his pulsometer. Either way, it was elevated and I was breathing hard. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a start. We'll do it again tomorrow. 😁
I should be hearing from the surgeon soon. She said if I didn't, to call him next week. Since I HAVE to do the 6 month diet & that's going to put me into January by the time it's done, I'm hoping the surgeon will let me do all my testing in January. I don't want to do it all now and have my deductible get met, only to have to pay the deductible again in January or February for my surgery. Praying that things go the way I hope. 🙏

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. The growing demand for clean-label products, which are healthier and free from artificial ingredients, is offering a favorable market outlook. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness. Food and beverage companies are responding to these trends by innovating and expanding their product lines to include options sweetened with alternative sweeteners, thereby catering to changing tastes and health concerns of modern consumers.
