dropsizes 2 Posted August 12, 2011 how long were you out of work after surgery? im hoping once i get surgery i will be able to return rather quickly. what was everyone's experience like once you got back to it? Hello Shelli, I took 16 day's off. I think that was a good amount of time to take off as I work 40 hours a week. I am on my feet 7 1/2 hours a day at work as I work in sale's. I think you need to know your body and the kind of work you do will depend on how much time you will need off. All the best. Mary

Losing 2 0 Posted August 12, 2011 I took a week off - I have a desk job. As Mary stated, know your own body and plan accordingly. Best of luck!
bandpal 7 Posted August 12, 2011 I took two weeks and valued every day. A butterfly needs time to emerge from a cocoon. It was a new experience for me, taking the time, getting used to the change and putting myself first. It's funny to have such good memories from that time, considering that I was post-op, in pain, and didn't eat anything for a week - but I do! Good luck to you!
