ReneBean 3 Posted February 2, 2006 I'm sporadic - but I get to the gym as often as I can - usually 3 x per week. My battle against the Evil Eliptical will continue... :]
Bensmum1109 0 Posted February 2, 2006 I am the official dog walker in the house now. Two brisk 1 mile walks twice a day, which totals about 40 minutes. Our route includes some serious steep hills, too!! I can definitely tell a difference since I started doing it, and since I have lost weight. I still sweat and pant a little, but my knees don't hurt anymore!
All_Smiles 0 Posted February 3, 2006 Sooo question. This may sound silly, but when is it okay to start doing some serious ab workouts? I go to the gym every night but have been very timid to start the Ab classes.
Dragonwillow 0 Posted February 3, 2006 I started back doing ab stuff at 6 weeks out. Though I think I'm still not doing ab wise what I was doing pre banding. It doesn't hurt, but after 6 weeks those muscles just don't want to work as hard. LOL They were probally one of my weaker areas too before banding. I do crunches in body sculpting class, and I do 2 sets of 12 @ 75lbs on the ab machine. On the side lateral ab machine I do at 80lbs 1 set each side. Not sure if thats the kind of info you are looking for...hope it helps. Basically if you do something and it hurts or isn't comfortable give it another week and try again. If you are using weights...start back at a lower weight level.
Bandster Brad 1 Posted February 3, 2006 5 hours a week of Shotokan karate, :boxing:and 33 minutes a day on my Precor eliptical. Makes me feel like a hundred dollars! :flame: Princess N' the P. Judging by the photos you post on this site once in a while, it looks like Pilates is just the thing for a power-body building super hero like you! Rock on! Kathy473 1 Posted February 6, 2006 Started exercising today with my friend Tara. She came over today and we each did 20 minutes on the bike, 20 minutes on the elliptical machine, 80 crunches on the AB Lounge (4 sets of 20), free weights for our arms and my Pliates machine. I am going to be sore in the morning but it is going to be worth it. :puke:

DeLarla 22 Posted February 8, 2006 I've been going to the gym every other day and 45 minute walks + weights on my day off. I spend 35 minutes doing cardio on the treadmill, then I do the arm circuit, then 100 sit ups. The only way I benefit is if I actually feel the burn, but it took a couple months of exercising to get through the layers of fat to even feel the burn. Today I have a little baby burn, so I know I did good
cissy 0 Posted February 9, 2006 I just started exercising, but now I can 30 minutes on gazelle in the morning, and 30 minutes tae-bo at night. One day I did 15 minutes on gazelle in morning, another 15 minutes at night + 30 minutes tae-bo. I seriously paid for it the following morning. I had a horrible headache, so I think I will stick with one thing at a time. I've also done walk away the pounds. I think I'm going to start back doing that. I worked my way up until I was able to do the two mile walk, so I think I'm going to try and combine the one- and two-mile together. (it's two exercise sessions on one DVD)
