screeden 21 Posted August 10, 2011 Completely know how you feel. When I found out i was approved with my insurance, it became real to me that i was having it done, and i burst out crying, freaking out. My husband didn't know what to do with me, i was a mess. LOL but i talked to a friend of mine who had it done 2 years ago and she talked me down and i was fine. It just became a reality to me! I too was wondering, how i will change my way of eating, not being able to eat certain things. Yes it sucks not being able to eat a deep dish pizza slice, but i know the consequences and would rather not vomit than try to enjoy a piece of pizza. It is just not worth it! You will learn what you can and can't have. Everyone is different. I have no problem with corn, rice or popcorn, but know people who can't eat those things. You just have to think about what you are eating every time and make good choices or they come back to get you, literally
MeFirstFinally 2 Posted August 10, 2011 Not banded yet and I expect I will be really nervous when my time comes, but here is my two cents anyway. Instead of thinking about NOT eating, think about NOT being fat, NOT being unhealthy, NOT being uncomfortable in your own skin. Robbie
