Jachut 487 Posted January 31, 2006 You'll hate me because I had none and wore jeans home from the hospital. Dont ask me how long the ugly rash caused by the dressings took to disappear though. I was completely, totally back to normal in every respect by 4 weeks in terms of pain, restriction etc.
michelle43mi 2 Posted January 31, 2006 I cant seem to get the icky from the tape off i have tried everything im ready for goo gone LOL and no i dont hate you i can get my jeans on its just that my port is to the left of my belly button and a few inches higher so my jeans sit right on it and its still looks like it has a baseball under there! PhotoNut 7 Posted January 31, 2006 Hi Michelle! First of all, grats on your weight loss and better health! That's awesome! I was banded three weeks ago and my stomach's just now starting to look like I've just had a kid rather than about to have one! I can still feel the port, sometimes I'm more aware of it after getting in the car or twisting around to do something. I think we are all going to be different in terms of healing times. Well, heck.. in all aspects really! Walking two miles already! I'm so envious! I can't wait to feel good again!
PhotoNut 7 Posted January 31, 2006 By the way.. my port is on the right side, just under my ribs.. sometimes uncomfortable from my ribs pressing on it (or maybe its the fat between). But I wonder what makes different docotors prefer different locations? I have seen some put low by the hip area. Might be interesting to hear where everyone's is. *grins*
