I was wondering has anyone experience a tingling sensation when they wake up from sleeping. Whenever I go to sleep and wake up it's like everything in my system is waking up. I start tingling all over. It only last maybe 1 minute or so. Once i'm up and moving around, it goes away. This has only started happening since I've been banded and I find this very strange and wondered if anyone else has experienced this.

I had the upper back tingling. I looked it up to figure out what's causing it and found nothing. Hoooowever, after I had my gallbladder removed, no more upperback tingle.

If it's all over go get your Vitamin, mineral, sugar, and thyroid levels checked.

I have not experienced anything like this. It's actually weird because I sleep much better now that I have had the surgery. I guess it's because I don't have all the bad stuff in my system anymore. Maybe the tingling is just some nerves that are slightly pinched from the surgery. I would give it a couple weeks until swelling is gone to see if it goes away.

Good luck!!

Hi Novice,

I had the same thing happen to me. I thought maybe I was sleeping wrong at first, but it continued. I finally took some extra Iron besides my regular Vitamin and that seemed to help me. You might want to ask your doctor before adding extra Vitamins. Also, I'm from Moreno Valley, so we are sort of neighbors! Maybe it is from the smog?

I had tingling problems about a year before surgery and it was kind of freaking me out. When I went to my primary Dr I told her about it and she ordered some blood work. It seems low B 12 affects your nerves. I've been taking 2500 IU of sublingual B12 every day since. No more tingling. Also take extra Vitamin D since that was low too and my Dr said most ppl don't get enough D either. I'd say look to your Vitamin levels especially after surgery. Good Luck.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
