DAA 0 Posted January 31, 2006 Hi all, Im at 24o now and need to loose 100 pounds, will the lap band let me do that? or is bypass better for me. My goal is to loose slowly. thanks
jeanettekaren 0 Posted January 31, 2006 The band will most definately help you to loose 100 pounds. If you want a slower loss then in my opinion the band sounds perfect for you. Jeanette x
Alexra 0 Posted January 31, 2006 Of course you can loose 100 lbs, but to do that you must listen to your band and follow bandster rules. The band will be a slower process than the bypass but in my opinion a healthier way to do it.
vinesqueen 2 Posted January 31, 2006 actually, it depends on whether you actually have to lose 100 pounds. It might be that you have a higher fat free mass (FFM) than you think. Which is a very good think indeed! The band will help you loose slower than any of the by-pass methods.

aaamom 0 Posted January 31, 2006 gee I hope so !!!!! I have lost 85 pounds in 8 1/2 months, and hope to hit 100 before my anniversary on May 23rd. There are alot of bandsters here who have done well with their band, and you will be too. :clap2:
suzan72704 2 Posted February 1, 2006 Yes it is possible, and I believe others have said it everyone is different, and to listen to the band. I believe using my band as a tool, and I never thought I would lose 100 pounds, never 157 pounds so far...and will keep going. Good luck Suzan
