Your raspberry is ADORABLE!!! :)!!!

So happy for you and your hubby! And your other kids! Big families rock!

Did you talk to your OB about losing weight while preggers? I was 220 when I FINALLY got pregnant with my daughter. My OB actively encouraged me to loose weight while pregnant, though, of course I completely ignored her and ate like a humungus cow.

HUGS and you owe me some kleenex too! Super teary eyed here.

What a lovely outcome for you and your family. I wish you all the very best for your growing family. biggrin.gif

On a side note, I actually lost 23kg while pregnant with my second son simply through watching what I ate and appropriate exercise (under my doctor's care.) So good luck with your weight.

I hope you really enjoy being pregnant. I loved it!

OMGosh, this is probably my favorite post of the entire day! Congratulations to you!!!!!!!!! As a longtime sufferer of PCOS and other various reproductive issues, babies have long been off my radar, and I gave up years ago the idea of ever having children, so I know how that part of it feels.

I am completely impressed and happy for you!

Also, I've heard that 'band babies' are somewhat common, as women end up gaining back their fertility when they start losing weight. I have a friend who is a fellow bandster, and she got pregnant right after getting her band, and her little son is a healthy 3 year old now, so I know it's possible to have a healthy pregnancy with the band.

Good luck with everything! How exciting!

So guess what... ME TOO! Just found out. I am still in shock and awe. Guess losing weight helps with PCOS. My mom's response was "Well, I guess you're getting healthier."

HOLY CRAP!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
