Ok. I just got banded 4 days ago...am I supposed to "feel" the band? I can't sit on my office chair without actually feeling like I have a long stick or board inside...does it go away? or will I always feel it?

Also, I take small sips of liquids but when it goes down I have some pain and I burp is that normal?

I burped and burped and burped, not to mention the gas. Are you back at work?? You really should try to rest more, or it will take longer to recover. Yes, you will feel some pressure in your stomach, in fact some pain. I was very sick for 2-weeks after surgery with nausea, but feel great now. I don't feel any different in my stomach than I did before surgery, so yes the pain and discomfort will go away.

Thank you. That's good to know. Right now I feel like I have a grapefruit or something where I know the band is...yes I'm back at work...we have our own business and I have to get things done so sitting at a desk is not the most comfortable right now...but I'm glad it will get better.
