topazz 4 Posted July 27, 2011 So, I ventured out to buy clothing. I went to Kohl's and Avenue (sales and coupons!! LOL!!). I did not buy any tops because I am waitng for Fall clothing to come out. But I did try a few on, and it looks like I am about an 18/20. I also bought 4 pairs of jeans, 3 pairs in size 14 and 1 pair in size 16. This is the first time I bought jeans that do not have an elastic waitband, faux fly, or and X after the size!! They are real jeans!! Yes, 3 of the pairs have stretch in them, but stretch is always a good thing! So, this was a good outing. I went from a 26/28 or 3x to an 18/20 in tops and down to a 16 pants! Thanks for your encouragement!

Thanks for your encouragement! Just wanted to let you know I went and will keep going through the same struggles with clothes as I lose weight. I seriously do not know what size I wear. Last time I checked I was just the opposite of you. 14/16 on top and 18/20 on bottom. Just keep shopping and trying on, that's the only way you will ever know. You will regret buying something that doesn't fit properly. I bought a XXL tank top from the Gap (in my mind I was like it's the Gap their clothes run small), boy was I wrong that shirt was hanging off of me. Congrats on shopping! spoiltmom 44 Posted July 27, 2011 Congrats girl! FYI I swear 99.9% of jeans now have stretch in them. When you buy those type be careful. Most times if they fit comfortably when goiter them on then 2 hours after wearing them they will be big and baggy from the stretch factor. If you buy em tight then they are usually perfect after a couple of hours.
hopetolose 192 Posted July 28, 2011 Congrats! I hate shopping as well. Not only the trying on but the looking for something. I have to have an idea in my mind as to what I want otherwise I go crazy. Maybe that will change once I have a good feeling about clothes again.
