n2animals 5 Posted July 24, 2011 I just had my sleep study done Friday night. It will be a week until I get the final results, but the preliminary results from the technician is that I don't have sleep apnea. I am so upset because without a diagnosis, my insurance will not cover the lap band. I really believed I had it. I had a lot of the classic symptoms. I am looking to buy a house in the next several months so I can't pay for the surgery out of pocket. I need to wait till after I close escrow to finance the surgery. How much does the procedure cost if financed? What financing company did you use?

I know it can be very expensive. I think it is one of the more expensive cosmetic surgeries you can get (if you even classified it as a cosmetic surgery). I think the procedure cost the same if you financed it or paid for it through your insurance. I guess finding the financing company is the hard part. I know CareCredit finances healthcare stuff but I don't think they finance lap band procedures. I actually financed a face lift through United Medical Credit. I had a very good experience and the overall loan process was very smooth. I know they finance lap band procedures too. If I were to get a lap band (I still don't know which is why i'm here) then I would finance it through United Medical Credit. Financing your procedures I think is always better because the money is more valuable to you now. You can check out the website @ www.unitedmedicalcredit.com Anyways, good luck with your new home purchase and applying for a loan for your lap band!
