The worst feeling...

Recommended Posts

This week I drank tons of Water, exercised 4 days, and ate right. I expected to lose at least a pound this morning and I was excited about weighing in. I stepped on the scale and NOTHING! I was so mad! I know I'm not going to lose every week but I really hate it when I've been doing well and it doesn't show up on the scale. Oh well, just had to vent!

Oh I know, that is so frustrating! Try to find other victories apart from the scale. Like, are your clothes fitting looser? Is it easier to exercise? Do you FEEL better? Last year I plateaued for 3 months and still went down a size. It's crazy how the body works! Plus, if you're exercising a lot you're probably replacing fat with lean muscle which weighs more. I've actually had weeks here and there where I've gained when I've exercised more than normal (especially if I was lifting weights a lot), go figure. Don't get discouraged, just keep going and eventually the pounds will disappear. You're doing great! :)

I'm not sure how you lose weight, but I seem to have good weeks, then slower weeks, or I lose nothing at all or I may go up a little. But even with weeks I didn't lose or gain a little, it all evens out in the end, I'm still averaging 1.5 # per week. So it could just be your body adjusting

How are you sleeping? It has a lot to do with losing weight as well.

I sleep pretty well most of the time. I'm hoping the issue is that I'm exercising more now and my body is holding on to some Water weight to help my muscles repair themselves. We'll see what happens next week!

I know how you feel, I had surgery about 8.5 weeks ago and this past week I haven't seen the scale move. BUT my clothes do fit better and I'm feeling great! You're so close to onederland...I'm jealous :P Keep up the good work, you'll be there soon! Keep pushing hard.
