rachelmiller1978 3 Posted July 18, 2011 Hi guys! My name is Rachel. I am a happily married mother of 4 and impatiently waiting to have my surgery. I had my psych eval last week and go in on Thursday for the report, this psychiatrist likes to give the patient the report first before faxing it to the doctor. After this is turned in to the surgeon it should only take about 2 days in order to get it approved my insurance, Tricare, and I am so nervous. Then I can schedule my date....so I am hoping to get this done by the first week in August. Reading everyone's post give me hope, 1 i will get it approved and 2 it will be beneficial to me. I am so ready to win this battle against my weight.

I am so ready to win this battle against my weight. I live in Missouri. Dr. Mally did my banding on Aug 2nd. (Tues)...He is in Stugis now, having a great time. (motorcycle rider) LOL...I am a self pay and all went well with the surgery. The staff at New Hope was amazing and I am down 11 lbs since the pre-surgery diet. I am still sore but doing well. Glad you got insurance to cover it. WTG... I have hardly begun my journey, but at this point 3 days after surgery, I am happy I chose to change my life. I didnt need that sports car anyway ! LOL...Good Luck.
rachelmiller1978 3 Posted August 5, 2011 I am hearing a ton of wonderful things about New Hope...I am just so ready to get this done and over with and start this journey. I know it's going to be hard work but I am looking forward to it. Yes, I was very fortunate to have insurance pay for it. They didn't expect you to jump through tons of hoops either which is strange for anything to do with the military. LOL. The best thing about the military is the full coverage of health care. How are you feeling? I am hoping since I was a champ all 4 c-sections, back doing laundry and caring for kids after 2 days, that this recovery will be cake. Hoping, I am a little older now. LOL. Is there alot of discomfort or gas? The hubby only has 4 days off work then its back to him being gone for 12 hours so I am hoping I will be okay and back on my feet to keep up with the little ones who are not in school yet.
