I confess. I weigh myself at least twice a day and get pissed off whenever I gain 1-3 lbs

within ONE day.

It's all in my head. Your true weight is right after you wake up and empty your bladder.

By nightfall, you've already consumed food so you'll be heavier.

For the past 22 years, I was terrified of stepping on a scale and now I'm an addict.

Lame.

I am addicted to my scale too. Although, this morning my scale was on crack. First thing it was a +1lb then 20 min later it was -2lbs then I shook it (it's digital, but what the heck) got back on and i was +/- 0...

I like the idea of daily weigh ins but only recording once a week. I'm gonna try that, great tip :)

I'm glad I'm not alone. I'm on mushies right now and I was gained 3 lbs :( I was really upset about this because I have been careful to stay in the calorie range set by my doctor. I'm hoping this gain is from coming off of liquids to mushies. I decided to only weigh myself once a week instead of every morning.

I weigh daily and I like the suggestion of picking one day a week to record because we all do fluctuate. I had a war going on with the scale this week, it was frustrating but I read so many peoples stories on here going through the same thing that I didn't let it get me down! I had lost 20lbs the since the pre-op diet started (one month ago) and then the beginning of this week I put on 2lbs....I have been not happy with the scale every morning this week because it hasn't moved, then this morning....that 2lbs was gone. I am happy with 20lbs on one month and that is what I am focusing on, not the fact that it was actually gone in three weeks and this week we have been playing yo-yo with the last 2 lbs lol. Positive thinking right!!

I was addicted to my scale. I would weigh myself in the morning and then several times a day and then before I went to bed. Now that I am at goal, I will weigh myself every few days. I keep myself honest by doing that.

13 months out and I weigh daily, and like another poster said I only count the down's. The occasional up's don't stress me anymore- unless they are more than a pound or 2 - of course if it's "that time" I don't even stress over 3

lol crash! We were banded on the same day and I do the exact same thing (many of us do). I also weigh daily, just excitement and eagerness but I only count once a week. Congrats for your weightless so far :)

haha we're one i the same! today is the first day since the first day of my pre-op diet that I HAVEN'T weighed myself... feels weird! I have gained 4.8 lbs in the last 3 days... it must be because I went from Clear liquids to ful liquids, because I know I'm not eating hot fudge sundaes and fries, I can tell you that much... hahaha. I'm trying not to stress it. My jeans do feel looser though :D congrats on your weightloss too!!

I weigh myself daily. I know that goes against what the experts say to do.... but

My mantra is.... Not weighing myself daily obviously didnt do much for me..... so far, weighing myself daily for the past 7 months has been a life changer!

Love this!

So I do what my doc told me not to do. I weigh myself a couple of times a day. Once in the morning, and once before bed. Why? I like to know what's happening in there!! However, I don't have a weird attitude about it, nor do I obsess about it rising and falling throughout the day because I recognize that it's normal for my body to do that.

I guess I just enjoy weighing myself now that the scale is so much less than it used to be... maybe I'm weird. Ha ha!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
