not quite an NSV but so close

Recommended Posts

I was at target and saw some cute capri rollup jeans and they were on sale for like 11 bucks, so I decided to get them. I went for a size smaller thinking I would get in them eventually.

went home and tried them on and I could get them all the way up but not buttoned :( But it is so close, they are 14's. I was jumping up and down cause I should be able to wear em in maybe 5-10 more lbs maybe.

yeaaaahhhh! I think I might hit onderland some this week or next also. I seem to be losing more in my thighs than I usually do also, because I usually cant get on pants and not have them fit around my waist. I have the thunder thigh problem.

Anyway, I was a bit happy with my dizcovery :)

Wow, that is so great. I am 12 lbs away from wonderland and my thighs will only let me get into an 18 right now. My waist is small but my dang butt and hips don't match.......................thank you genetics. I always have to alter the waist bands in my pants. I'm hoping right past my wonderland that I can squeeze a pair of 16's on and maybe zip them without laying on the bed with a wire coat hanger................nah, I'm too old for that. I think I'll just wait........giggle. Anybody else ever have to use the bar of soap on the zipper to get them to go up easier? Oh, the things we do for vanity.

That's exciting! I'm a waist smaller than my butt and thighs kind of gal too, so I totally understand. I know though, that soon my time will come and I will wear cute pants! Yes, it's coming!

Great job! I think fitting into smaller clothes is just about as good as seeing the scale move. Keep it up!

Congrats ladies!

I'm still in an 18 :( I can button up a 16 but... I'm not comfortable in them yet. It's the whole, everything is squishing out way too much and why do I look like I have camel toe thing. No butt/thigh issues here.. I'm more of a rectangle in shape LOL blasted flat asian butt :) Can't wait til my butt actually sticks out further than my tummy bahahaha

Onderland is so close, I can almost smell it!

Best Wishes

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
