I met a new goal today...

Recommended Posts

I take my weight loss 10 pounds at a time. It took me forever to hit 169 but I finally hit it about 2 months ago. Then I stayed in the 160's for quite a while.

As of today, I now weigh 158!!! I'm now at my pre pregnancy weight from my first baby and he's almost 11. The lowest I've ever gotten dieting on my own is 174 so I never thought I'd see the 150's again. Ever!

I'm so excited now!

Hurray! I agree take weight loss in steps. Baby steps are good. I am, also, at my pre-baby weight, which was 36 years ago. In April 2009, I weighed in at 244, as of March 2011, I am 144 and holding! Congrats to you! Karen

That's great, Mom. Changing that middle number is awesome. I did the same thing today. I only record my weight on Tuesdays. This morning I'm 179. I've seen it on the scale a couple times, but this is the first Tuesday that it's showed up so now it counts!!

Congrats! I read 155 on the scale this morning - the lowest in my entire adult life. You must be so proud. Reward yourself (and not with ice cream!)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
