Hey Everyone...:)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the new year....

A while back I had made my next goal....I had met my earlier goal...(250 lbs :rolleyes )....So I decided that My next goal would be 2 things...I want to be about 225lb by my Birthday...(March 28th)...and to get into this "certain" outfit...

Well the weight is not moving as fast as I would like...BUT... the other night my SIL was at the house...We were going thru a bunch of her clothes (she is losing weight also) And we come acrost some that she still wasn't quite in yet...I was telling her that this one outfit should be her GOAL OUTFIT....So I told her that I would show her my GOAL OUTFIT...It is a Very Nice 3 piece Light Purple Sequins Outfit...I had bought it for my 50th birthday party(it didn't fit:think )....It never really fit right and I just never took it back....

So I have dreamed that ONE DAY I would fit into it again...and quess what I just thought I would try the top on for SIL (just to show her) and it was big....(yes now I will be taking it IN...) So I thought I would try on the pant and Jacket...well it is all big...But I have Ideas of how to fix it...and then Hubby had better find some place to take me...(SIL suggested a short Cruise :sleep ) I would go for that....

My thought then was.....I weight LESS then (in lbs) than I do now??? How does that work??? .....Now understand ...I AM NOT COMPLAINING...

just wondering....:)

Now all I need to do is get that weight off to reach that next goal.......

Blessings, Debbi

NSVs are about all I have! Ok, here goes:

After 10 months of going to the gym, I have bought 3 pairs of high heels. Not the regular 2 inch pumps I wear to work either. I bought a pair of 3 inch strappy sandals, 3 1/4 inch suede pumps, and (oh my God!) a pair of 4 inch mule boots. And I look GOOD in them. My legs aren't icky and my feet aren't running over the sides!

I've got a couple for this week.

Yesterday I hit double figures, I now weigh under 100kg and only have about 8kg to go before I'm merely overweight instead of obese.

Today I called into the gym very quickly, as I have to go out, so I just wanted to clock up 40 minutes on the treadmill. I picked a hill program, set level 10, speed 6.5 kms per hour. I could not get my heart rate over 119 for love nor money, I physically cannot walk any faster than that or I'd have to jog and the incline at times was at 8! So I've gotten LOADS fitter. And my ankle didnt even give me a twinge.

I am so freaking happy today.

I flew to San Antonio this morning, and I could buckle the seat belt, AND had 3 inches of extra strap! It felt so good! I'm not having many scale victories, but am sure noticing some NSV's!

Congratulations to all of you on yours! Cindy

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
