kjntwins 59 Posted July 11, 2011 I have notice that a lot of people get the lap band also has to have a hernia repaired. Do you know you have a hernia or is it found in surgery? Having the hernia does it effect the procedure?
CurlyDiva 5 Posted July 11, 2011 Your surgeon should tell you once you have a endoscopy (or pretesting). If he finds that you have one, he'll tell u that it will be fixed during surgery. It shouldn't affect the surgery at all.
lifeisjustbeginning2011 11 Posted July 11, 2011 My doc said I didn't need the pretesting because if there was a hernia, it would be repaired at surgery anyway. I ended up having a small one repaired - didn't know I had it.
Mscarter007 0 Posted July 11, 2011 I found out about mine when I had my endoscopy as well. I will ask my surgeon if he needs to repair because I hear a lot of people say the pain is worse when you have it done.
kjntwins 59 Posted July 11, 2011 It just seem very common.
