cmr 0 Posted January 28, 2006 I can't figure out when to stop eating. I always go too far. I just got my second fill and the restriction is much better than before but I still can't seem to get the message to my brain that I can't eat any more. This is the first time that I have felt this much restriction and it seems to be very unpredictable as to the amount that I can tolerate. What are the signs? cissy 0 Posted January 28, 2006 You just have to listen to your body. I have experienced slight shoulder pain or a burp to indicate that I'm done. I have since learned to recognize the sensation that comes before that pain or that burp and that's when I stop. Give yourself time. You'll figure it out. We are all still learning. NewSho 20 Posted January 28, 2006 Yep! That first "hiccup" or burp means "CHECK PLEASE. And bring a doggy bag!" That's all I can eat - and if I go a spoonful past that I'm pushing it. Two spoonfuls past that (keep in mind, I've done this like an idiot) then there's gonna be trouble, LOL
the best me 6 Posted January 28, 2006 Yep, a hiccup or burp...time to wrap it up. If I realize I'm stopping and taking deep breaths and sitting up straight, I can stop eating before the burps. But I usually don't until the burp comes.:lick
