Tabby Ann 10 Posted July 10, 2011 The last couple weeks I have been doing zumba 3 times per week, treadmill 30 mins 5 days a week & upper & lower strength training 5 times per week. I have been drinking 2 Protein Shakes and a regular dinner. Next week I start my 800 calorie 2 week liquid diet.... With the exercise I have been doing already I stay weak and tired all the time. I would love to hear some opinions on wether I should keep up the exercises while on the liquid diet or not. thanks!
Rachel412 116 Posted July 10, 2011 Why are you having two shakes a day and only one meal? Are you pre-surgery?

Rachel412 116 Posted July 10, 2011 Did your doctor tell you to do the 2 shakes/1 meal thing, or are you doing it in your own to lose more before surgery? I'm concerned that you're going to burn yourself out before you even get a chance to work your band. Your body needs to be strong and healthy for the surgery, and if you go into it exhausted, recovery is going to be really hard for you. I would pick ONE exercise to keep during your 2 week liquid diet. Either Zumba, or teadmill (or walking), or the upper body work- but not all three.
lizzy2150 3 Posted July 10, 2011 Actually, your 2 shakes and 1 meal sound a lot like my pre-surgery diet. I suggest you discuss this with your doctor--it may be that he or she will want you to have a few more calories if you continue to work out at that level (which, IMO, shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't exhaust yourself!).
