pineapple juice, eh? Haven't heard that one but I'm adding it to my list! :) Thanks!

I have been stuck a few times. While it's not fun, for me, it's not as bad as I read others describe it.

Two things either happen when I get stuck. I can either coax it down with pineapple juice, or it comes back up. I don't have to deal with it for two long, either way. Having it come back (PBing) up is so completely unlike throwing up, and I don't think you'll get stuck enough times to where your PBing will cause you band slippage (If it's happening often, then worry).

If you do get stuck, be very careful with eating for a couple of days afterwards like mentioned previously. Your stomach could very well be pissed off from the whole event, and want you to take it easy for a bit. Lay off the hot and warm liquids for a day after you're done getting stuck or PBing. Cold drinks will help better with a swollen stomach. View all this as punishment for eating X, and don't do it again ;) .

I still get stuck all the time. It's not a big deal to me. I just go to the restroom, lean over and it comes right up. You will learn what foods you can't tolerate. I had my surgery (18) months ago and still can't eat beef of any kind, flour tortillas or bread. I have no problems with rice or Pasta. Everyone is different.

This might sound crazy but I jump. Last stuck was in a a fancy restaurant, I excused myself, walked to the bathroom, took the furthest one in the room and Jumped. It went down thank God.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
