HopeThruFaith 30 Posted July 7, 2011 Hello everyone. My name is TInika and I am in the very begining stages of getting approved through my insurance company. I have started to gather my information and have seen my PCP to start my supervised nutrtion program. (I have lost 10 pounds in the last 12 days!!!) I have a question regarding the 5 documentated weights with doctor notes requirement. I have documentation from 2006-2011 apart from 2008. I was self employed that year and unfortunately did not see a doctor at all that year. How rigid are they with this requirement? I have 5 years total... just not consecutive. I would hate for this to be an issue for me. Does anyone else have experence with this?

I only provided 2009 and 2010, before that I really never went to the doctor. You can use gyne visits, etc. Make sure you write a letter along with your sumbission simply explaining that you did not see a doctor that year because you didn't have insurance, that should suffice. -Kathryn

Allison0927 329 Posted July 10, 2011 I had some gaps in my 5 years too - had to reach out to specialists instead of just my primary care physician because being in my 30s with little health issues I did not see my PHP every year. The approval went through even though technically all 5 continuous years weren't there. I've heard of others proving things through pictures/video. Mine was United Health Care. Best of luck!!!
