SashaWLS 412 Posted August 11, 2013 I've only told a handful of people—not because I'm ashamed in any way, but because I don't want to talk about my weight, my eating habits, or my body with anyone. I really just want to lose weight and go about my business, and I'm not interested in making this the focus of my social life... That said, no one has really commented on my eating changes. Every once in a while I'll get someone who asks if that's all I'm eating, or I'll have a very tight day where I really can't eat anything easily and I'll make something up. Like sometimes I say I have a stomach ache, or heartburn, or that I had a late lunch. But mostly no one asks... Your situation would make me angry though. I mean really, how rude! After the second comment I'd probably say something like "Hey, lay off." Or, "What are you, the food police? Stop watching me or I'm going to stop having lunch with you." 1 backpacking5 reacted to this
Pittsburgher 261 Posted August 11, 2013 I have only told 3 people. My fiance, sister, and a friend at work. My fiance told his mother, because i guess he felt i lied to her cause i told her i was having a hernia repair. Its ok though. I just didnt want his sisters to find out, it is.none of their business. And i dont feel the need to explain my life to everyone. My soon to be mother in law offered to go to weight watchers with me, she is big also. But i dont need anyone tracking my progress but me. I told her i was still.having surgery and i did. I dont need people looking at me wondering why i havent lost enough or loosing slow or etc. Mind yr business. For me its personal. 1 kah1213 reacted to this
Luka Beth 78 Posted August 11, 2013 Only my boyfriend that lives with Me and my best friend know. I choose to not tell anyone else.my coworkers think i had my gall bladder out. This was a very personal decision for me and i didn't want the constant questions of how much i Had lost or should i be eating something. I began losing weight before surgery and implementing healthy changes so the loss didn't suddenly start after surgery.now they ask me how much I've lost but not all the time.. .they SEe the healthy changes and the resulting weight loss and don't know about my little helper. 1 kah1213 reacted to this
