Are you eating that much Protein because you are doing P90 X? Your diet of what your signature says of icecream, poptarts etc.... must come in between all that Protein? ;)

P90X has nothing to do with the amount of protein I take in. Do some reading and learn about the benefits of protein. I keep mine on the high side for various reasons. The more protein you eat, the fuller you generally are. Higher protein diets also preserve lean body mass, aka your muscle mass, something that most weight-loss patients lose very quickly, which overall leads to a slowed metabolism and screwed up thyroid, leptin, and other hormone levels, but let's not go there.

From day 1 I got no less than 90g+ of protein per day. That's what works for me; stick to your 20-25g of protein per meal if it works for you. I eat 2-3 meals per day so that wouldn't work for me, simple. I wasn't out to prove anyone wrong, except that false notion that your body can only take in so much protein at once; that is completely untrue, but to each their own.

And yep, protein fits in with my poptarts, ice cream, reese's, etc. :) Calories in vs calories out, love.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
