Just wanted to ask a question to see if any of you have similar experiences. I havent had a fill since April. Been doing fine and felt decent restriction. I am happy with my loss (if thats possible... I always want one more lb. LOL) and in June I didnt feel that I needed a fill. Then about 2 weeks ago I was sure I was going to need a fill and I felt as if I could eat the house.... but since last Monday....I am feeling super restriction and come Friday when I vist the doc I seriously doubt I will get a fill. Not that I am complaining... this is just another first.

Is this normal... for the restriction to fluctuate? Thanks in advance for your input... I appreciate it.

You probably ate something you shouldn't have or took too big a bite etc... causing some swelling. When the swelling goes down your restriction will probably return to where it was which sounds like you were in the green zone.

Go on liquids til then and maybe try taking some ibuprofen to help reduce the swelling.

Ibuprofen is a NSAID (non steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug) and those are prohibited by many bariatric surgeons, but not all. Please check with YOUR surgeon before taking any thing like Ibuprofen, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, Aspirin, etc. Tylenol is generally considered safer to use with bands.

To reduce internal swelling, you can try sipping on warm tea or coffee (decaf if your surgeon is against caffeine).
