You'll be fine; no need to stuff yourself if you're feeling full. Try to get as much as you can but no need to over do it.

I an 4 days post -op too (yay us!) I am okay with fluids because I am constantly sipping crystal light or green tea. I am having a terrible time getting in enough protein! my doc says 60-80 g's. Protein shakes are starting to nauseate me. This morning I actually gagged as I put it down, afraid it's just gonna get worse. I am going to GNC today to get some swiss choc. shake everyone's recommending. I just feel so full all the time..how many daily grams of Protein does your doc have you on?

Right?! that Isopure is disgusting! (i still force down a couple ounces here and there when I feel less queasy just because it's such a quick way to increase my Protein intake)...I did some strained cream of chicken Soup, but it filled me up too much, made it hard to get my Proteins in. I did 1 cup about 5 pm,,felt too full to do anymore Protein that day. I am having a terrible time trying to fit all this protein in. Before my band, I never counted protein grams,,but I guarantee I didn't do 1/2 this much protein..

Mix Crystal Light with Isopure, it really helps take away the weird feeling Isopure alone leaves in your mouth. My favorite so far is mixing blue raspberry Isopure with Pomegranate Cherry Crystal light. about 50/50.

You are both only 4 and 5 days post op I would not focus so much on the Protein - I too became satisfied on 1/2 Protein Shake 4 oz each meal (drinking 2 a day maybe) which is what my doctor advised for the first 5 days - drink the protein shake slowly to avoid getting "full" Protein will keep you energized and satisfied - you do need your liquids - tea- water-crystal lite - sugar free Kool aid and Hawain punch (they have great flavors in individual packets) you do need to stay hydrated- If it is any consoliation I was concerned because I could not "eat" much and mdoctor said that is typical for at least the first week. Remember you are still healing --- :scales:

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
