Wow! Thanks for this thread; I haven't experienced any hair loss, but I've been worried that I might. Honestly, I'm fairly vain about my hair. I have almost buttlength red hair that I take very good care of. To be honest, it's been a little fear in the back of my mind... of course I'd be bald if it meant infinite health forever, so if it does happen I'm willing to deal with it.

Thanks for the information about GENESIS, I am going to look it up.

Your very welcome rozie :) I am the same about my hair. I never thought it would happen to me because of all the Protein I was getting and how thick (and typically healthy) it is, but it did anyways..I am just super relieved that it will grow back!

Fo sho on the GENESIS!... I have ridiculously bad nails that tear, break and peel without it... Once I get on it again, I can ditch the nail salons!

Thanks for all these responses. Helps to know I'm not alone. The cycle that our hair goes thru is truly amazing! I will definitely try to stay calm and of course increase the protein! Thanks everyone ;)

I couldn't agree any more with what you're saying. I'm a hair stylist for Paul Mitchell and I'm so concerned about losing my hair. Not to sound shallow and completely ridiculous.... But this is my most major concern! I know it will happen and thankfully I've got the hook-up so if I need some extensions I can take care of it haha... But you're right though, obviously I would choose baldness and good health than luscious hair and poor health.

Anyway, good luck! Here's to hoping for no Hair loss AND good health!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
