Period during surgery

I got my period day after surgery. I was freaking about the same stuff. I was happy to get the pain meds knowing I was dealing with surgery and pms. We survive.

Jen I think i am going to tell them about my tampon- just in case something happens. Im too scared to be sneeky! lol I am NOT looking forward to post op pains and monthly cramping together WITHOUT my ADVIL!!

sort of a gross question, but i am having surgery tommorrow and just got my period today (which i am grateful for cause i was having a bit of a pregnancy scare)...anyways, how do i handle that on surgery day...i am not a tampon gal and so i usually use pads...but won't we only have our gowns on?

Thank you for posting this, I have my period too and surgery is tomorrow. I normally wear tampons but definitely won't be wearing one to surgery.
