That "corn" would be such a problem food....I had it for the 2nd and last time yesterday. My 1st horrible stuck issue was w/ chicken and some cut corn off the cob about 2 weeks ago. Yesterday I cooked and one of our veggies was corn...OMG worst experience EVER, I threw up awful :( . I orginally thought I hadn't chewed the chicken well enough, but now since this has happened again...I think it is the corn????

Anyone else had this problem, also what are some of your problem foods?

TIA!

Try cream style corn. You won't have to chew so well. My worst problem food is red meat. It doesn't matter how tender and moist it is, it's not going! I'm fine with poultry but beef, pork and lamb always give me trouble. We all have to just learn what we can and cannot eat.

I have issues with really soft foods like squash, I think just don't chew them enough.

I've never had issues with corn. Whole kernel or popped. It's one of my go to roughage foods. Try, as someone else said, creamed corn. Or regular corn without the meat.< /p>

i was banded March 28 which makes today my 3 month mark. I've had 2 fills for a total of 3cc's and I've never had a problem with corn or popcorn at this point. My surgeon did warn me that corn could be a problem but at this point it hasn't been. I feel great now and I've lost 24.5 lbs!!! I haven't found anything that really gives me any problem as long as I chew, chew, chew. I haven't tried to eat beef, other than hamburger, sticking mostly to chicken dishes.

I haven't had a problem with veggies at all. My can't-eat food is mostly bread and rice. I tried eating chinese food yesterday (just plain sauteed chicken with pea pods, celery, carrots in a clear sauce) and it came up immediately. I think I was just really tight yesterday, though - I couldn't eat anything till dinner.

I had a problem with eggs for a while, no matter how they were cooked, but that seems to be okay now. I think it's just trying to eat them for Breakfast that doesn't work.

I had trouble with corn kernels for about 2 years postOp regardless of on or off the cob. Finally that issue went away and I can enjoy corn on the cob....although it now takes only about 1/2-3/4 of a full cob to be plenty if I want anything else with my meal.

My nutritionist doesn't want us to eat much corn at all.. as it is fairly high in sugar. And besides, almost all corn in the US is GM (genetically modified).

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
